Jennifer Bryan grew up in Spokane, Washington. As an adult, she's lived in many different cities, finding it exciting to meet new people and experience the U.S. She received her PhD in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an MFA from Bowling Green State University.
She was the 2011 Kimmel Foundation Award writing recipient and has been a resident at the Vermont Studio Center and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts. She has taught writing and literature at Bradley University, SUNY Cortland, Syracuse University, and other institutions.
Her stories have appeared in The Missouri Review, Sycamore Review, Isthmus, LIT, Fifth Wednesday, /nor, and other literary journals. Currently she is at work revising a novel,You'll Be Here Soon.
